I am feeling so troubled right now. I wanna take Diploma Plus; Applied Psychology and also joining Tennis club in school for Year 2, though I have no idea if I can cope with studies and cca altogether. Why did they only give us 4 days to consider about Dip+ really..Now, off to the main topic! I was looking out the window this morning when the stray cat on the pavement caught my eyes. And I felt so sad for it suddenly. It looks as though it's pregnant, but I have no idea if it really is. It just looks pregnant to me. Then I continued thinking, if the cat is really pregnant, then what would happen to its babies after it gave birth? Will they starve like their mother? Since she probably won't have much milk if she's hungry? Then I felt so sad and pitiful for all the stray animals, especially those that were tortured. Hunger is enough for them and yet they get killed, tortured just because they couldn't protect themselves. And other animals such as those that are facing extinction are even worse, getting killed by the humans to satisfy their selfishness. I have decided to adopt a baby animal on my eighteenth. Hopefully, by that time I would be able to buy its food and house on my own without help from my parents. I will learn to be responsible for and take care of a living animal. For now, I need to save up in order to give my pet a good life! Hehe :D posted on Tuesday, March 19 @ 10:34 AM | permalink
HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :DSorry that I was gone for so long! I hope you missed me! Hehe :P Well, there was nothing much to update about, that's why I left my blog empty for a few days~ And now, I have came back to talk about... LOSING WEIGHT! I know girls will be very interested in this. BD Also, this post is specially for Kaiwen, who has finally decided to step on her weight loss journey! It's hard, yes I definitely agree. Being a passer by of an obese girl, I understand how obese people feel. Low self-confidence, failure and all kinds of sad stuffs. I failed a lot of times and I tried a lot of stuffs. I can still remember how my primary school crush looked at me with that kind of troubled face when he knew I had a crush on him. My relatives, telling me to eat lesser sweets, drink lesser carbonated drinks and such during New Year. And I would be thinking, seriously? Telling me such stuffs during New Year? And my self-confidence would go down lower. I guess my weight's the reason why I was introvert because my self-confidence is just really low. There was a period of time when my mum decided that I was too fat for my own good so she bought slimming tea and fruits. Girls, never ever try such stuffs. They are completely useless. They just help you to clear your bowels. Your waste do contribute to your body weight but spending your money on stuffs to clear your waste is just stupid okay. And since it didn't work, we stopped and I continued as usual, gulping down food down my stomach. The period when I started to attempt losing weight was during upper secondary times. I still keep failing. I told myself I won't eat during recess, which I did maintained for some time before I started eating back again. And once I started eating back, I ate from less to more and more. Until when I graduated from secondary school, my weight was about 59 to 60kg. The worse thing is that I am short, with only a 149.5cm of height. A short height with a heavy weight is the worse thing you ever want to have. Things got worse when I got into poly because the food is so delicious that I ate so much everyday, nuggets and cheeseballs most of the times or fries. Soon, my weight increased to 63kg. That was the time all my clothes started to feel too tight. And my sister-in-law recommended me to take slimming pills which she said works well for her sister and that the weight doesn't comes back. So I took the pills, one per day. The pills help to increase your metabolism while at the same time, presses down your urge to eat. It worked, I lost 3kg with the pills and was back to 60kg, but I just stopped there. And after finishing the bottle of pill, I started having big headaches for a week. That was the side effect for me I guess. Because my mum said we shouldn't rely on the pills so she told my sister-in-law to bring another bottle for me in another 6 months. And within that 6 months, I gained back the 3kg so I was back to 63kg. I felt so sad, and my self-confidence went really low. During the breaks, I would go jogging with Shiling in the evening. I ate less, I told my mom that I would only drink soup for dinner. The weight loss wasn't significant, until September. It was during the break that I went to research on exercises to make my legs look slimmer. Initially, I just wanted really nice legs, so I researched on articles and websites on ways to make my legs slimmer. And in fact, it was actually working well! My sisters told me my legs look slimmer and I continued doing the exercises until I met with a road block. I wasn't motivated anymore. I kept decreasing the amount of exercises and I totally stopped exercising. I got my motivation back because of K-Pop idols. If they can lose weight and maintain their weights, why can't I? So, I went back researching on diets and exercises. I want to lose weight. Not just making any part of my body beautiful only. I jogged, I reduced my intake of food and calories. I even researched on calories and kilojoules. I increased the amount of time of jogging on the spot from 30 minutes to 1 hour, and I even added high knees to it. I started climbing stairs instead of taking the escalators. I chose to walk a longer route to my bus stop. I went to Prime myself and bought veggies for myself. I made sure that my body goes to sleep by 10.30pm and wake up in another 8 hours. And tadah! I lost weight! It dropped almost 1kg per week and I was so happy at the results. Until I met with the first road block at 57kg and the second road block at 55kg. The first road block didn't stay for long. At 55kg, I couldn't do my jogging anymore because I reborned my hair. Sweat and perspire will curl my hair. So I was stuck at 55kg for about a month. Since I couldn't exercise, the only thing I could do was to eat lesser. BUT! My mother, being too caring, insisted that my weight is light enough already. So she started giving me more food. I was really so irritated that I threw food away. Yes, in order to not eat the food, I wrapped them up in plastic bags and threw them away. Ultimately, my mum found out and all I can say that she was really upset and disappointed about it. she even threatened to watch me weigh my weight if I continued being like this. She thought I was being anorexia. I wasn't. I just wanted to really lose weight to the weight that I really want, which was 45kg or if possible, 42kg. I will still be in the acceptable range of weight in terms of BMI. My mum just didn't understand. Since she found out about me throwing food away, I can't do it anymore. I ate the fruits and food in front of her everyday and after a month of being stuck at 55kg, it incredibly started to drop to 53kg! When I came back from Hong Kong, the weight started dropping again to 50kg in a month. Everyone; my relatives, friends, friends' parents and even my teacher could see that I lost weight. I was really happy. I could wear my new shirts without stretching them and looking too fat. My confidence grew. It was really wonderful. Now, I am still continuing my weight loss. I am at 49kg now, with a BMI of 22.0, and I am still aiming for 45kg. It is my goal. It is not easy. But with determination, it can be done. And when you accomplished it, you feel tons better than what you feel now.
Don't procrastinate anymore! If you want to start, then start now and be determined to do it! :D

Hey people! As promised, I'm back to tell you what I did yesterday!I went out with Weiting and Shiling to Jurong East swimming complex! It was supposed to be a clique's gathering with Jingwen and Kaiwen but one was grounded and the other wasn't feeling well. Well, the three of us still had fun~ We bought a few mini hotdog buns and mini donuts for lunch and made our way to the swimming complex. With the help of technology, we can just enter with a tap of our ez-links. Though Weiting's card couldn't be detected by the machine so she had no choice but to purchase the ticket, of which she bought a children ticket. >.> So, we went to change and put our stuffs in the locker before moving to rent a float for myself since I don't know how to swim. OTL Went to collect the big yellow float and our first stop: Lazy River! :3 Why is it lazy? Because! The river already has a current flowing one direction so you don't have to use much of your energy to actually swim in it! Most people would sit on the float and just let the current move the float. Lazy huh? :P We went for about 4 to 5 rounds before Weiting was very tempted by the slides. She and Shiling went for the yellow; shortest slide. The shortest slide doesn't need a float since it's not very tall, unlike the purple and blue slides. After which we went to the Wave pool! As the name suggests, there are actually waves created during specific timings and after a while, the waves started and there was water spraying out from the man-made mountains! We stayed around 1.1 to 1.3m of the pool. The waves get bigger with time and the water that was being sprayed was cold, and slightly salty, I don't know why. The waves kinda lasted about 30 minutes? We stayed for a while after the waves stopped and the two of them went to the competition pool to swim while I went to the Jacuzzi pool to relax. We left shortly after Weiting played the blue and yellow slides to bath and leave for JCube. We laughed at Shiling's tan line on her thighs since it was very obvious. The thing is, we agreed to have another outing to the complex with Kaiwen and Jingwen during April, so it means more tanning! :P We walked and shopped around in JCube, had lunch and at about 5pm, we were planning to go home until we came across a shop named Vardi & Migdal. The shop keeper, Isa; I have no idea how to spell her name correctly, was very polite and helpful to us. She introduced to us about their nail product, the buffer and the cuticle oil and stated that their materials are from the Dead Sea and are full of nutrients and minerals. She use the buffer on my thumb nail and oh my god. The difference! The difference of before and after is so great that all three of us were shocked. Before (left thumb): After (right thumb): You can actually see a strong light reflection on my right thumb nail and it's glossy, as compared to my left thumb nail, it looks rough and just a weak light reflection! It looks as though I applied the transparent nail polish but no! I only made use of the buffer and the cuticle oil! This is the buffer: There's actually 4 sides to it; 2 black, 1 grey and 1 white. The order goes from darkest to lightest. All of them contain nutrients and minerals of the dead sea as stated above and they are very effective! Just three simple steps to healthy and glossy nails: 1. Rub your nail with the black buffer for 5 seconds. 2. Switch to grey buffer and rub for 5 seconds as well. 3. Lastly, the white buffer and rub for 5 seconds. Tadah! 15 seconds and you get one nail done! The white buffer has actually silk in it to get the oil underneath your nail to appear, that's why the nails seem glossy. The grey buffer circulates the blood and the black buffer erases the dried cuticles. The Cuticle Oil: Cuticle oil moisture your dried cuticles and improves your nail condition by keeping it hydrated and strong! The buffer costs S$30 and the cuticle oil costs $20! The buffer may sound expensive but! Here's the deal, once your buffer gets dirty, you can just bring it to ANY of their stores and exchange it for a new one for a LIFE TIME! They know their products so you don't even have to present your receipt to them for exchange. Isn't it much more worth then going for a pedicure and manicure regularly? Or if, you think that individually, the items are slightly expensive, they have a full nail kit consisting of the buffer, nail file, cuticle oil, and a hand and body cream that costs S$70 in total! The sales people also have great attitudes and services towards their customers! I had a great time with her! *thumbs up* So! Hurry and head down to their stores or to their website for more details on their dead sea products! :D posted on Thursday, March 7 @ 9:01 PM | permalink

HEY GUYS! :DI would like to share with you guys a nice.. poem! ^^ I personally think it's quite meaningful, I read it from a story that one of my online friends shared with me. The story was actually about twp stepbrothers, and one of them with a low IQ. The story's name is Baby's Breath. It's actually a filler flower that's used in all kinds of bouquets and floral arrangements. Go ask Mr Google for pictures! I fell in love with the cute flower; it symbolizes purity of the heart, sincerity and happiness. It goes along well with roses to symbolize true and everlasting love. Pretty huh? :) The poem is sad, but it speaks of what someone would do to protect the ones he love. So, here goes: In the next world, if you were to be reborn as a beautiful person, I would like to be reborn as an angel. Although I may be invisible, and you'll go on loving someone else, I would like to be reborn as an angel to protect you. In the next world, if you were to be reborn as a bird, I would like to be reborn as a magnificent tree. Although I would have to wait for you in one place, I would like to be reborn as a tree, where you may rest when your wings are weary. In the next world, if you were to reborn as a beautiful rose, I would like to be reborn as a humble Baby's Breath flower. Although I may not look like much in your presence, I would like to be reborn as a Baby's Breath flower, so your beauty may grow, and you can be loved. Here's a picture of Baby's Breath flower: I think it's really beautiful and I totally love the poem. And the story was really nice. Although the ending was kinda angst; since the stepbrother with low IQ had to go to some mental institution after saving his brother by knocking a brick into some gangster's head, but the author said the sequel will be better. All in all, I love her story, and I love how she expresses the characters' feelings so well. Nice and meaningful! *Thumbs up* One last thing to mention! Tomorrow's 3rd month! :D |
