2nd week!
posted on Monday, April 22 @ 6:27 PM | permalink
2nd week of school! It was greattttt! But I think I won't be able to update this blog as frequently as before~ Because school is getting onto me! I have to do my notes before my lectures, and then tutorials too and I may start to get really busy during May to August!
Myra and I signed up for NDP's motivators last friday so we need to go Simei ITE every Saturday for NDP practices and all. Busy but enriching! So I decided to give up CCAs for the NDP! :D
Anyways, there's nothing much to update about except for long school hours and all.. :/ But I'll try to update whenever there are exciting stuffs going on! :D Till then!

Hey peeps! I know it's early in the morning, well I always wake up earlyyyyy! Good for your health! :DAnyways! School started 2 days back ago, and it was quite tiring.. Imagine 4 hours of 3 different lectures.. And I'm making my notes instead of buying them so that makes it even more tiring. OTL But overall, it was quite enjoyable to see the whole class again! If you see me online in the night, that's most probably because I am copying the notes so don't ever talk to me in the night, asking or saying rubbish because I swear I will kill you for disrupting me. I have a huge morning and night temper. And I just had my morning temper because there were so many ants in the house. -.- Thanks to the honey stick. But I have cleaned that all up so hopefully, they won't grow again because they really get on my nerves. Will you live your life without excuses? Because it's really irritating sometimes. Acuvue!

Yes! I finally finally finally!!! Tried contact lenses for the first time!! /clap hands/ I know it's no big deal for those who wear contacts lenses frequently BUT! It's still a big deal for me, since it's my first time wearing it after all. BDAnd so! I journeyed down to Chua Chu Kang, Lot 1 shopping mall to meet with Kaiwen first, and then we went to look for Capitol Optical! And I was served by Melissa and another optician. The results of my eye examination turned out well; my eyes are generally healthy and perfect eyesight! Next came the important part: Wearing of lenses! [I chose Acuvue's Natural Beauty series: Vivid style] Well, for a first timer like me, I was quite nervous but the lenses were so soft that it keep sticking to my index and my optician keeps commenting about how soft it is! I really liked it when I successfully wore the lens. It felt as though I accomplished something, since I have keep talking about getting lenses for a few months already! Moving on, the Removing of lenses! I'm always terrified at how Kaiwen removes her lenses, because honestly, her nails are always sharp and her pinching seems as though scratching her eyeballs. Terrifying right?! Well, today, I finally learned the right way to remove my lenses without injuring my eyeballs and! I succeeded in a try! Ohohoho! I totally agree that removing is much easier than wearing! Because you have to check if the lenses are rightly flipped, as well as to check if there are any chips, tears and dust! In addition, because the lenses are so soft, the whole of it keeps sticking to my index, so it takes time to flip it into the bowl-shape. But overall, the service is awesome and my opticians are very patient with me, so I love the experience! Also, they gave me one free, extra trial contact lenses! it was supposed to be only 3, but I got 4 instead! Who doesn't love freebies??!!!!! xD And anyways, I love the lenses so I'm definitely going back to buy more! BD Pictures!
JingWen's BIRTHDAY!!

Happy birthday to JingWen!! /claps hands and cat calls/ It's your 18th birthday!! Like what I wrote for you, although you're the oldest, don't ever worry because Tan KaiWen will always be older than you! xPThis post is gonna be real long because I'm gonna be updating about all the preparations for Jingwen's birthday. Enjoy reading! :D So one fine day, Shiling, Kaiwen and I decided to go shopping for Jingwen's shirt that she wanted to DIY on. We went to three places until we finally found the right one for her... @@ First stop: Jurong Point! Saw lots of sweaters, but the designs and the quality definitely won't meet up to the birthday girl's standards. Second stop: JCube! Again, none that fits the girl and so we decided to head to IMM to purchase the ingredients for sushi instead, and maybe in hopes of finding the sweater. So we went up to Daiso, the $2 shop!, bought the sushi rice seasoning and seaweed. I wanted the food colouring that's specially for rice since we can make the sushi nice and pretty but it seems as though they don't sell it anymore. :O After Daiso, we moved to Cotton On and found the ideal sweater. After which, we went down to Giant in hopes of finding the colouring but there's nothing much, so we waited for Weiting to end her school and join us! About 5pm, the four of us went around Giant and ended up in the library since Weiting wanted to look for books on diet meals. In the end, we got ideas on the birthday cake which is making pancakes instead! The next time we met was at Shiling's house, in order to experiment on making the sushi and tennis during the night! Although Kaiwen forgot the seasoning powder, I honestly think that mixing the vinegar by ourselves tasted much better.
Thursday, Kaiwen, Shiling, Jingwen and I went out to Star Vista @ Buona Vista and awwww, someone was so sad that Kaiwen had to 'go for work' on her birthday. Obviously it's a big lie! :P Poor someone even said we 'bo jio' her to the friday's stayover! xP Simple! The reason is because we had to get the ingredients on Friday! It was a fun 5-hour walk in Jurong Point! Regina, Zhihan and Jiawu joined us and all of us really enjoyed their presence! :D
Saturday! The most exciting day! Woke up at 7 in the morning and started out with cooking the rice, and I did the pancakes!! Mixture was done by my mum but I was the one who fried all the pancakes and the one who did all the word carvings! BD
I'm really proud of myself, of course! With time and practice from before, the outcomes are wonderful! Not to forget, 18th birthday needs to be exciting too! No worries! Here comes the wasabi-ed sushi roll!
No one died thank goodness, HAHA! Though someone was really sad when all of us 'couldn't make it' for her birthday~ No way of course! And today, there was another surprise from the church members too! Aww, how nice of us right? BD These few days are really fun and enjoyable! Ending this post with 4 words and 13 letters for my sisters: I love you girls. p.s. I know the pictures are very messy at the starting but I'm too lazy to align them right now, maybe some other day! :D Easter's!

Hi Hi Hi Hi Hi Hi Hi!!!! :D So sorry this post came so late!! Mainly because I wasn't feeling well almost the whole of last, last week.. xO I had indigestion on Monday and Tuesday, and then diarrhea for the next days! Horrible man.. I just kept going to the toilet.. OTLSo anyways! Did quite a few stuffs during this two weekends! Tennis-ed with ZhiHan and Regina on one of the tennis session and ZhiHan is seriously just so pro! HAHA. And we played tennis again, just the 4 of us sisters on friday in the night (since we are afraid of getting tanned xD) and went to prime to look at the veggies~ And here comes the main thing! Happy belated Easter's! Weiting, Kaiwen, Jingwen and I went down to Revival Nation for Easter's!! Weiting invited us to go, since she went down to the church for services, and I really liked it there! It was fun, lively and cheerful, it's not like those church that you just hold the book and sing autonomously. The play they put up was seriously, AWESOME! It was great, seriously, I love their acting, especially the "aunty"! xD Well, sadly I didn't take pictures, but I would put them up later in the blog once I got them from Rebecca and Regina! :D It was a nice experience overall. I liked it when Regina prayed for me in tongues. I just started feeling bitter and upset when she started, but when she prayed in english I felt really calm in heart and even though the surroundings are noisy, her voice just rang so powerfully into my ears. They say it's a reaction that god is touching us, like how I cried and felt peace, as well as some others felt warmth. I do like it, because now, almost everyday, all my mother does is nagging me to gain weight and even my father nags to eat nowadays. So I can't really feel at peace or calm or relaxed, and I'm really tired of it. Thanks a lot to Regina, although I can't remember all that she prayed for me but I really appreciate it! And thanks to Weiting, who prayed so... softly for me. .___. I haven't started believing in God yet, but I will try to understand how all these works. :D |
