3rd week of intern is done and I feel like I have finally adjusted to working life, although honestly, I'm not a big fan of the fast-paced lifestyle and being in office everyday is tooooooo suffocating. No wonder the associates all signed up for the sports break or sports events whenever they could HAHA.My craving for greenery and a long walk was satisfied when I went down to MacRitchie Reservoir yesterday, although it was quite worrying that it might rain heavily halfway through the walking. BUT luckily it didn't, so we managed to walk out. I thought the uphill and amount of stairs were going to kill me but I survived! Went up to the treetop walk, although it was a little disappointing cos I thought the bridge would be much higher. But anyways, it was a fun trip, got to see lots of cute monkeys! HAHA And the next thing is that I joined a fit challenge! Gonna last for 4 weeks with different exercises everyday after intern. I went for the initial fit test on Friday, and managed to do 30 sit ups, 20 push ups (not the female style) and timed 13.57mins for 1.8km run. So my goal at the end of the 4 weeks challenge would be 50 sit ups, 40 push ups and 11mins for 1.8km run. And hopefully, do well for the 5.6km run I signed up for! I'm just feeling good with what I have and what I am doing now. :) Intern

Helloooooooooo! :D Back after a while from the previous post! :)So today's topic is very obvious; INTERNSHIP! Yeahhhh, my intern started last week, on 10th March, at Deloitte! Basically, it's one of the big 4 companies in Singapore and I'm there for Auditing! So first day was rather slack, dry and overloading of information, and second day was just e-learning until I learn that I had engagements for the next 3 days and the following week. I was rather surprised at the sudden engagements and honestly, was excited for them because it meant no more boring e-learnings for a while. Basically, engagements mean that I have companies to audit on! The audit department I'm in was rather stressful and full of work though, Global Financial Services Industry, which meant the companies we are doing on are basically banks and insurance companies. Not to forget it's audit peak right now, and I've only just ended my first engagement on friday, which was quite an experience. The colleagues are nice to us, always patiently helping my friend and I, the 2 interns, to fit in the company and majority of them are so young, which wasn't what I was initially expecting. Work in there is a little stressful and a little too much, considering how we already had engagements for the first week but I'm sure I'll get used to it! :D First week is gone and there's still 11 more weeks going! Just hoping nothing major goes wrong and hopefully, I'll make some more new and great friends over there, as well as some experience of how life in an audit company is! Hope all those who are having internships currently have fun too! :) Time; Life

YAY I AM FINALLY BACK because exams have ended!! WOOOOOOO!!! Got a week of rest before internship starts next week and I'm just feeling all so curious about it.Anyways, I'm gonna make sure I make full use of this one week of holiday which I have planned to do a makeover of my room, paint, make covers and hopefully play the guitar. Oh and driving lessons yeap. And the Sisters Clique sent off our mummy WeiTing to Liverpool on last Friday! It was sad when she was leaving but then she's having fun over there so that's good for her! Just waiting for her to come back with our PRESENTS! HAHA! So I started to work out again today because I've been eating too much junk food irregularly due to exams and I almost fainted from my morning run; probably couldn't get use to the sudden intense exercise. But hopefully this work out will last with me! :) After which I was listening to songs and I came across 2 songs which I thought was really nice and I wanted to dedicate them to some of the most important and unforgettable people in my life! For my Sisters Clique: Whenever you remember by Carrie Underwood. Every sentence of the lyric just reminds me of all the time we spent together, good and bad, and personally, I love the first sentence of the song. For my mummy: Don't forget to remember me by Carrie Underwood. I love her songs!! I know your love for me, and I do love you as well. I wish some times you can just let me go for a while. Don't worry, I know the way back home and I will go home when I am done roaming. For my poly clique & class, I haven't found a song that describes my feelings towards you all, but it's been a really great in meeting and knowing all of you. Thanks for making my poly life so memorable and fun! That's all for today! Enjoy the day peeps! :D |
