HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :DSorry that I was gone for so long! I hope you missed me! Hehe :P Well, there was nothing much to update about, that's why I left my blog empty for a few days~ And now, I have came back to talk about... LOSING WEIGHT! I know girls will be very interested in this. BD Also, this post is specially for Kaiwen, who has finally decided to step on her weight loss journey! It's hard, yes I definitely agree. Being a passer by of an obese girl, I understand how obese people feel. Low self-confidence, failure and all kinds of sad stuffs. I failed a lot of times and I tried a lot of stuffs. I can still remember how my primary school crush looked at me with that kind of troubled face when he knew I had a crush on him. My relatives, telling me to eat lesser sweets, drink lesser carbonated drinks and such during New Year. And I would be thinking, seriously? Telling me such stuffs during New Year? And my self-confidence would go down lower. I guess my weight's the reason why I was introvert because my self-confidence is just really low. There was a period of time when my mum decided that I was too fat for my own good so she bought slimming tea and fruits. Girls, never ever try such stuffs. They are completely useless. They just help you to clear your bowels. Your waste do contribute to your body weight but spending your money on stuffs to clear your waste is just stupid okay. And since it didn't work, we stopped and I continued as usual, gulping down food down my stomach. The period when I started to attempt losing weight was during upper secondary times. I still keep failing. I told myself I won't eat during recess, which I did maintained for some time before I started eating back again. And once I started eating back, I ate from less to more and more. Until when I graduated from secondary school, my weight was about 59 to 60kg. The worse thing is that I am short, with only a 149.5cm of height. A short height with a heavy weight is the worse thing you ever want to have. Things got worse when I got into poly because the food is so delicious that I ate so much everyday, nuggets and cheeseballs most of the times or fries. Soon, my weight increased to 63kg. That was the time all my clothes started to feel too tight. And my sister-in-law recommended me to take slimming pills which she said works well for her sister and that the weight doesn't comes back. So I took the pills, one per day. The pills help to increase your metabolism while at the same time, presses down your urge to eat. It worked, I lost 3kg with the pills and was back to 60kg, but I just stopped there. And after finishing the bottle of pill, I started having big headaches for a week. That was the side effect for me I guess. Because my mum said we shouldn't rely on the pills so she told my sister-in-law to bring another bottle for me in another 6 months. And within that 6 months, I gained back the 3kg so I was back to 63kg. I felt so sad, and my self-confidence went really low. During the breaks, I would go jogging with Shiling in the evening. I ate less, I told my mom that I would only drink soup for dinner. The weight loss wasn't significant, until September. It was during the break that I went to research on exercises to make my legs look slimmer. Initially, I just wanted really nice legs, so I researched on articles and websites on ways to make my legs slimmer. And in fact, it was actually working well! My sisters told me my legs look slimmer and I continued doing the exercises until I met with a road block. I wasn't motivated anymore. I kept decreasing the amount of exercises and I totally stopped exercising. I got my motivation back because of K-Pop idols. If they can lose weight and maintain their weights, why can't I? So, I went back researching on diets and exercises. I want to lose weight. Not just making any part of my body beautiful only. I jogged, I reduced my intake of food and calories. I even researched on calories and kilojoules. I increased the amount of time of jogging on the spot from 30 minutes to 1 hour, and I even added high knees to it. I started climbing stairs instead of taking the escalators. I chose to walk a longer route to my bus stop. I went to Prime myself and bought veggies for myself. I made sure that my body goes to sleep by 10.30pm and wake up in another 8 hours. And tadah! I lost weight! It dropped almost 1kg per week and I was so happy at the results. Until I met with the first road block at 57kg and the second road block at 55kg. The first road block didn't stay for long. At 55kg, I couldn't do my jogging anymore because I reborned my hair. Sweat and perspire will curl my hair. So I was stuck at 55kg for about a month. Since I couldn't exercise, the only thing I could do was to eat lesser. BUT! My mother, being too caring, insisted that my weight is light enough already. So she started giving me more food. I was really so irritated that I threw food away. Yes, in order to not eat the food, I wrapped them up in plastic bags and threw them away. Ultimately, my mum found out and all I can say that she was really upset and disappointed about it. she even threatened to watch me weigh my weight if I continued being like this. She thought I was being anorexia. I wasn't. I just wanted to really lose weight to the weight that I really want, which was 45kg or if possible, 42kg. I will still be in the acceptable range of weight in terms of BMI. My mum just didn't understand. Since she found out about me throwing food away, I can't do it anymore. I ate the fruits and food in front of her everyday and after a month of being stuck at 55kg, it incredibly started to drop to 53kg! When I came back from Hong Kong, the weight started dropping again to 50kg in a month. Everyone; my relatives, friends, friends' parents and even my teacher could see that I lost weight. I was really happy. I could wear my new shirts without stretching them and looking too fat. My confidence grew. It was really wonderful. Now, I am still continuing my weight loss. I am at 49kg now, with a BMI of 22.0, and I am still aiming for 45kg. It is my goal. It is not easy. But with determination, it can be done. And when you accomplished it, you feel tons better than what you feel now.
Don't procrastinate anymore! If you want to start, then start now and be determined to do it! :D
